Mossy Silo

When we ventured out to locate our Christmas Tree this year we stumbled upon an old silo base covered in moss.  The color of the moss  was so green and vibrant in the sun it almost looked radioactive!  I had to capture it!

Have you ever made a moss terrarium?  They are easy to make and maintain.  Just keep it out of direct sun, and lightly water once a week.

1. Fill any glass jar with an inch of pebbles for drainage and to prevent stagnation.

2. Layer potting soil on top of the rocks until the jar is about one-third full.

3. Place moss and decorative elements on top of the soil. Lightly water and seal.
